David Billeter specializes in financial market and contract law. He advises and represents clients, particularly in the implementation of regulatory requirements and the drafting of complex contractual frameworks. Due to his previous roles at the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA and as a legal professional at a major Swiss bank, he possesses comprehensive and well-founded expertise in his specialized areas. Additionally, he regularly assists clients engaged in the cryptocurrency sector.

In addition, he conducts research as the lead project partner in a project of the University Research Priority Program (URPP) Financial Market Regulation of Zurich University, focusing on the crisis resilience of Swiss banks. Furthermore, from 2015 to 2022, he regularly lectured as a guest speaker on financial market law at the University of St. Gallen (HSG). He periodically publishes on topics related to financial and capital market law.

  • In his leisure time, David Billeter practices karate and regularly trains the next generations on weekends. He enjoys swimming and finds comfort in the outdoors. Although he takes pleasure in cooking, he always looks forward to trying out new restaurants.
